Applications for the Valerie Russell Scholarship for African-American Laywomen are available until May 1, 2012. The scholarship is intended for an African-American laywoman involved in justice work who:
- has a deep love for the United Church of Christ
- affirms the values of the UCC and embraces the justice commitments of the church through Justice and Witness Ministries and,
- has a commitment to justice that is theologically grounded.
