Jen Butler Called to First Congregational – Corvallis

First Cong. Corvallis has called Jen Butler as their new Associate Minister.  Jen served as a Seminary Intern while completing her seminary education at George Fox Theological Seminary. While in Seminary, Jen has also worked as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant and is currently an Adjunct Faculty member at George Fox, teaching courses on Christian Earth-keeping. Jen received her Masters of Divinity degree on April 27, 2011.   Jen completed most of her undergraduate education at Linfield College in McMinnville, prior to transferring to Eastern Oregon for her final year (to be closer to family members facing health challenges.) Jen graduated magna cum laude from Eastern Oregon University in La Grande, Oregon in 2003, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts. Between completing her undergraduate work and beginning her Seminary studies, Jen taught Theatre Arts for the Educational Service District in LaGrande, and worked for two years as a licensed insurance agent. Since then she has worked for the Boys and Girls Club in Albany as the Development Director, for the Corvallis Boys and Girls Club as a Resource Development Specialist, and for the Corvallis Montessori School as an Enrichment Programs Director. During Seminary, Jen has also worked as the Director of Social Media and Marketing for the Second Glance Resale Store in Corvallis.  Jen will begin and serving Associate Minister position on May 1, 2012.
