Excitement is building for our new Annual Meeting format beginning in Pendleton, September 28-30th! Our theme – “Uniquely UCC”, gives us an opportunity to celebrate who we are and reconnect with our “roots”. We are very pleased to announce that our keynote speaker for our inaugural event — Rev. Ron Buford, the architect of the Still Speaking initiative.
Doing something new is always fun and a bit challenging too. But with your help, we can all participate towards having the best meeting ever!!
Our challenges to you all:
- We would like to have 100% attendance participation from all of the Churches in the Central Pacific Conference at the event. Not only for sending delegates, but inviting everyone to join us for a weekend of service, learning, fellowship, good food and FUN!! (Even a few surprises!) Remember – EVERY church gets one Youth or Young Adult (under 25) delegate, in addition to the regular delegate count for your congregation. Let’s use this opportunity to include them in every aspect of this event.
- There are going to be LOTs of tasks large and small that you all can assist. Again, we would really like to have EVERY church help with one or more tasks. Perhaps you have a group (e.g. Youth) within your church that would enjoy a fun project??
Our organizing team will do all of our work via conference call, so NO travel will be necessary until the event. Please send us the name(s) of persons who could be the team lead for your church to Don Frueh pastordon@parkroseucc.org or Jean Avison avisonjb@gmail.com by Wednesday June 6th. We will be schedule the first call during the week of June 18th.
Today is June 1st, we have 123 days until out new ANNUAL MEETING!! Let’s get started!!
Thanks for your energy and excitement – Pendleton here we come!!

I am planning on attending the event as of this time. I only received the e-mail on 6-4-12. My personal computer had died. I will not have an opportunity to consult with other members of my congregation.
Love and Peace
