Remember the Conference and/or your Church in you Estate Planning. Persons considering remembering the conference, their local church or any other setting of the United Church of Christ in their estate planning are offered, at no cost, estate planning services from the denomination. Aid is available online or by email.
Estate planning benefits a person’s interests, one’s family interests as well one’s church or any other charity’s that a person supports. Online support provides a general overview of personal estate planning techniques, as well as some example language.
Persons making their estate plan should give some thought to the following questions:
- Should I have a Will and/or some other estate planning document?*
- Whom should I consult when making my estate plans?*
- Do I want include my church in my estate plans?*
- Should my local church have a planned giving program?* If so, what are the first steps?
- How do we get it going? Is there a proven plan of action available to us?*
(*Hint: The answer to each of these questions is “YES.”)
Do you have questions about this? Do you want to speak with someone before going on line? Help is available from your Conference’s Planned Giving officer. Feel free to contact me by mail or at my office by phone or e-mail.
